With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen S. Ankney of Sturgis, Michigan, born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on August 18, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hiner and Florence Hiner (Scott); and her sisters, Patricia Henry and Barbara Hart. She is survived by: her children, Rick Savage (Raeanne) of Sturgis, MI and Kim Savage (Alicia) of Dowagiac, MI; her grandchildren, Cameron (Olivia Hyska) of Sturgis, Boe Savage (Kalesha) of Howe, IN and Paige Savage of Sturgis, MI; her great grandchildren, Paislee Savage and Ivy Savage; and her brothers, Larry Hiner (Bonnie) of Carmel, IN and Tom Hiner (Anne) of Sheridan, IN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital for Children, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
