She was predeceased by: her father Clyde Everett Taylor; her husband Kenneth A. Shane; her mother Edythe Wyatt Taylor; and her siblings, Royal W. Taylor, Dayton D. Taylor and Joy A. Wakeland.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Smith (Edward V. III) of Alto, Michigan, Keri Shane of Evanston, Illinois and Kirby Shane of Dewitt, Michigan; her grandchildren, Joseph Smith (Kyle Avink), Bridgette Smith (Raphaela Varella), Taylor Shane and Payton Shane; and her brother Todd Taylor (Marilyn). She is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Shane's memory consider the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
