He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nelson and Marjorie Nelson (Combs); his stepmother Evelyn LaRue Nelson; and his sister Ruthanne Ritzer. He is survived by: his wife Laura Mae; his grandchildren, Amy Bills (Jake) of Gobles, Jason Tuttle of Schoolcraft, Andrea Gaff (Adam) of Sturgis and Michaela Sears of Holland; his great grandchildren, Kristian, Braylin, Jordan, Maecy, Kaleb, Vada and Lincoln; and his half-sister Lavonne Miller (John) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
