She was predeceased by: her parents, Stefan Maftean and Trandafira Maftean (Precob); and her grandson Florin Gavril Olarean. She is survived by: her daughter Aurelia Hirsch (James) of Sturgis; and her grandchildren, Rodica Powers, Adrian Pietrariu, Derek Alexander, Cristian Pietrariu and Cristina Pietrariu. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
