He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin J. Benne and Gladys E. Benne (Meyer); and his daughter Linda Benne. He is survived by: his daughters, Lorre Davis (Chris) of Fort Wayne, Pam Kirk (Brent) of Portland, Marcie Benne (Michael Sylvester) of Portland and Megan Wagner (Herb) of Moreland, Georgia; and his brother Max Benne (Beverley) of Sturgis, Michigan.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Thurston Woods Endowment Fund (https://www.thurstonwoods.org) or the Parkview Health Foundation, with a designation to Parkview Lagrange Hospital.
