With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Allen VanAvery of Sturgis, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on May 7, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard VanAvery and Mary VanAvery (Euler); his stepmother Mary Hale; his son Troy VanAvery; and his siblings, Lois Kerschner, Ed Euler and Larry Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lee Warman; his daughter Tammy Mitchell (Cody) of Sturgis; his granddaughter Heather Smith (Logan) of Sturgis; his great grandchildren, Goose, Kyra and Maverick; and his siblings, Nancy Lipko of Sturgis, Ellen Waite (Gene) of Sturgis, Mable Waite of Sturgis, Phyllis Buchannan of Michigan, Paula Rodriguez (David) of Kalamazoo, Diana Edmunds of Kalamazoo, Julie Roth of Texas, Bruce VanAvery of Las Vegas, Carl Hale of Kalamazoo and Matt Talon of Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
