He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Johns and Ethel Johns (Vandivert). He is survived by: his close friend Valerie Mildenberg of Sturgis; his daughters, Lauren Johns Batten (Taylor) of Charlotte and Melissa Johns (Bill Tucker) of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Katie, Lindsay, James, Alex and William; his sister Carolyn Sekerak (Steve) of Helena; and his nephews, Steve Sekerak and Vernon Archer.
