With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Willodean Poley of Sturgis, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Willodean left this world on July 20, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carol L. Nelson (Hanselman) and Theodore A. Hearld; her husband Orson F. Poley Jr.; her children, Norman E. Poley, Orson F. Poley III and Cheryl Birkhold (Sherry); her granddaughter Jennifer Dickerson-Sult; and her cousin Dorothy Burk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa "Terri" Dickerson (Rick) and Carol Goymory; her son-in-law Michael Birkhold; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Ellner (Birkhold), Amy Fowler (Birkhold), Diana Dickerson-Weed, Cassondra "Casey" Wentworth, Nicholas Dickerson, Jason Wentworth, Earlin Cheeks and Liam Dickerson-Sult. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (406 S Lakeview St, Sturgis, MI 49091). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
