Irene I. Battle Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene I. Battle (Suttons Bay, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 19, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene I. Battle to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Domingo Damasco and Matilda Damasco; and her brother Frank Damasco. She is survived by: her husband Jerry of Veteran's Plaza; her children, Richard, David (Sally), Carl (Judie), Eric (Lynda), Geralyn, Barbara and Maria Mackenzie (Rob); her sister Eleanor Damasco; her grandchildren, Rockell, Matthew (Morgan), Emily Kauhn (Chris), Justin (Taylor), Lucas, Julie Kalush, Kevin, David James (Alyssa), Garrett, Eleanor (Brian), Amy Wisenbaugh, Jennifer, Andrew Mackenzie, Ashley Eilers and Derek (Leah); her great grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail, Jonathan, Lainey, Catherine, Valarie, Liam, Owen, Madison, Alexa, Jase, Danielle and Landon; and her friends, Georgia and Buzz Pope.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Martinson Funeral Home (115 N St Joseph St, Suttons Bay, MI 49682). A rosary will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (315 W Broadway, Suttons Bay, MI 49682).
