James Leroy Alpers Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leroy Alpers of Suttons Bay, Michigan, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alpers and Lucy Alpers (Belanger); and his siblings, Carl and Kneale Alpers. He is survived by: his friends, Rick Flora and Thad Tomlinson; his wife Shirley Alpers (Korson); his children, Joseph Alpers (Jen), Julie Preneta (Nick) and Jennifer Smith (Gerald); and his grandchildren, Holden and Elsa Preneta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
