He was predeceased by: his mother Kathern Stanton (Slaughter); and his siblings, Annie Grant, Allan Stanton (Marcia) and Sandra Clark. He is survived by: his father Filmore Stanton; his wife Mary Stanton (Hallett); his children, David Stanton (Kim), Pattie Dykstra (Mark), Emily Kohler (James) and Casey Stanton (Adelaide); and his grandchildren, Charlize, William Stanton, Megan, Katie, Josie, Johnny Dykstra, Hazel, Violet, Wallace Kohler, August and Margaretta Stanton.
