He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Meserve and Julian Meserve; his grandparents, Bessie and Bill Brydges; his uncle Bill; his aunt Libby Brydges; his former wife Barbara Erkila; his grandson Mike Ormiston; and his great-niece Ashley Hansford.

He is survived by: his wife Susanne; his siblings, Janie Karel, John Meserve (Mary), Dorothy Wepking (Chuck), Berta Meserve and Cathy Austin (Wayne); his children, Bill Meserve, Diana Ormiston (Mike) and Julie Clayton (Ray); and his stepchildren, Michael Larson and Tricia Sven (Marc). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

“Very sorry to hear the loss of my dear friend Bill. We also go back to Junior High friendship and then continued through High School. We studied together, rode motor scooters around Saginaw , Paddled the AuSable from Grayling to Oscoda and then he froze me out in his Beetle on the way to Glen Lake one winter.
