He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Lyall Birnie Sr. and Lillian Marie Brevik. He is survived by: his daughters, Lindsay Birnie-Decator (Keith) and Lillian Weider (Dave); and his brothers, Craig, Lyall (Doreen) and Reed. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
