She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Hodges and Helen Hodges (Weatherwax); her husband Lyle Roger Irish; her grandson Ricky Jenson; and her siblings, Patricia Hagerman and Melvin Hodges.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Dawes (Bethany) of Fenton, Steven Dawes (Shane) of Swartz Creek, Blair Dawes (Victoria) of North Dakota, Jason Dawes (Cindy) of Saranac and Darin Dawes (Chelly Frizzell) of Hastings; her adoptive daughter Su Jenson (Rick) of Belleville, IL; her sister Yvonne Burns of Virginia Beach, VA.; and her pet Cooper. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A burial was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
