He is survived by: his wife Ann Schutt; his sons, Paul Schutt (Melissa) of Palo Alto, CA and Benjamin Schutt of Swartz Creek, MI; his stepchildren, Theresa Serr of Rutland, VT, Anthony Serr (Kristina) of Flushing, MI, Bethany Fitzgerald (Sean) of Houston, TX, Amy Vivo (Mario) of Warren, MI and Kathryn Bjornson (Darrin) of Grandon, ND; his grandchildren, Madeline, Sebastian, Abraham, Anthony Ayden, Shaelynn, Joseph, Alexander, Nikolas, Matthew and Jonathon; his brothers, Don and Edward Hodgeson; and his pets, Marley and Cider. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
