Mary Leila Packer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Leila Packer of Swartz Creek, Michigan, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leodler and Ethel Leodler; her parents-in-law, Dale and Evelyn Packer; her siblings, Bob Leodler and Nita; and her brothers-in-law, Steve Mesko and Jon.
She is survived by: her husband James of Swartz Creek; her sons, Matthew (Kristi) of Flushing and Michael (Kim) of New Haven; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Spires (Margaret) of Montrose, Janelle Chapman (Joe) of Flushing, Ellie Bayley (Jared) of Flint, Abbie Kalahar of Boston, Matthew Kalahar of Chesaning, Gabrielle Packer and Brady Packer of New Haven; her great grandchildren, Lennon, Lincoln, Liam, Charlotte, Emmett and Ella; her brother John Leodler (Chris) of Leslie; and her sister-in-law Cheryl Packer of Jackson. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Swartz Creek Community Church (7400 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473).
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek Community Church or Swartz Creek Kiwanis.
