He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Lohrengel. He is survived by: his wife Mistie Lohrengel; his mother Priscilla Lohrengel; and his siblings, Peter Lohrengel and Laura Stevenson. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, in Benjamin's memory.
