He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bevan Austin and Louise Austin; and his brothers, Richard William Austin (late Susan) and Robert Bevan Austin (late Lois). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Lisa Austin (Stephanie Korsage) and Rebecca Hinson (Steve); and his grandchildren, David Conley and Abigail Conley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
