With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Jean Kane of Taylor, Michigan, who passed away on October 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donna Jean Kane to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hal Kane; her granddaughter Claudia Matusiewicz; her parents, William Reeves and Ruby Reeves; and her brother Dale Reeves.
She is survived by: her children, William Kane (Tammy), Monica Johnson (Fred) and Lisa Kane; her grandson Steven James Matusiewicz; and her great grandchildren, Lillian Deese, Stephen James Matusiewicz III and Addison Marie Matusiewicz.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home -Taylor Chapel (9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at the Woodmere Cemetery (9400 W Fort St, Detroit, MI 48209).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
