He was predeceased by: his brother David Martin; his nephew Jason Rodriguez; and his parents, Lloyd and Wanda. He is survived by: his wife Maria Martin; his children, Jessica Meza (Michael), Mathew Martin (Tiffani) and Jonathon Martin (Angela Gonzalez); his sisters, Deborah Miller (Jerry), Trish Doet Kott (Richard) and Beth Martin-Shannon (Ron); his grandchildren, Ruben Meza, Zachary Martin, Addison Martin and Sophia Martin; his nephew Ronald Rodriguez (Amy); and his niece Susan Myers (Jamie).

In Lieu of flowers, family has suggested donations be made to the Sierra Club.
