He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Stainsby; and his parents, William Stainsby and Laura Stainsby. He is survived by: his daughter Sheri Koeppen (Keith); his brother John Stainsby; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Acheson and Violet Carmona. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in James's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Michigan Humane Society.
