He is survived by: his siblings, Joe, Marion, Margaret and Vincent; his wife Mary Ann Bernardelli; his daughters, Sally Sears and Jill Sears; his grandchildren, Ethan Coder, Lauren Coder, Matthew Coder and Archer Sears; his sister Barbara McGann; and his in-laws, Kathy Bernardelli, Bill, Sandee Bernardelli, Mike Dickinson and Joan Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jim's honor to the Special Olympics Michigan (https://support.specialolympics.org) or the Alzheimer's Association .
