She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kitz and Pearl Rakoczy; her husband Martin Bergiel; her brother Joe Kitz; her sister-in-law Marie; and her brother John Kitz (late Beverly).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Cozzola (Frank), Joe Komblevicz, Craig Komblevicz, Gary Komblevicz and John Komblevicz (Lisa); her stepchildren, Debra Moilanen (late Carl), Diane Ray (Robert), Martin Bergiel (Margaret), Dawn Szczesny (Richard) and Michael Bergiel; her grandchildren, Stanley Komblevicz, Garet Komblevicz, Chelsea Fritz (Justin), Jeshua Komblevicz, Lauren Komblevicz, Adam Komblevicz, Seth Moilanen, Erin Martell (William), Richard Szczesny (Nasima), Shane Bergiel (Samantha), Jessica Graves (Andrew), Taylor Bergiel, David Szczesny (Madeline), Jacob Bergiel and Kathleen Szczesny; her great grandchildren, Easton, Landen, Lincoln, Isabelle, Baron, Beau, Benton, Maya and Eleanor; her siblings, Mary Kitz, Catherine Sugars (late Paul), Charles Kitz (late Betty) and Joan Schneider; and her sister-in-law Gladys Kitz. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Angels (6442 Pelham Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). She lived through World War II and overcame breast cancer, broken heart syndrome following the death of her husband, and even COVID-19 at age 90, but ultimately passed the very way she always wanted—peacefully in her sleep.
