It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Magdalene Engle Schlaf of Taylor, Michigan, born in Lee City, Kentucky, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Chester; her brothers, Chester Engle Jr. (Carol) and Bobby Joe Engle (Eve); and her nephew Gary Engle. She is survived by: her siblings, Ellen Custard (Don) and Earl Engle (Jean); and her siblings' children, James, Sandra, Shannon, Robert, Cindi, Heidi, Samantha Jo, Bobby Joe, Wendy Jo, Melissa, Theresa and Christianne.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor Chapel of Voran Funeral Home (23750 Goddard Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Voran Funeral Home - Taylor (23750 Goddard Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (3571 Corbin Bypass, Corbin, KY 40701).
Donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Magdalene's honor.
