He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ciminelli and Alberta Ciminelli (Heselschwerdt); and his siblings, Joseph, Tommy and Sharon.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Scates (Kris) of Sparta, Rachel Kunzelman (David) of Pinckney, Jeanette Ciminelli (Eric) of Webberville and Raymond Ciminelli of Jackson; the mother of his children Sally Chase of Whitmore Lake; his children, Nikki Demetsenare (Chris) of Flint, Caila Blackwell (Joshua) of North Carolina, Emily Baldridge (Justin) of Harrison Twp and Brian Ciminelli (Jamie) of Ft. Wayne, IN; and his siblings, Dwayne Giminelli of Fowlerville, Carl Michael Ciminelli (Debbie) of Fowlerville and Debbie Fakitsas (Demetri) of Greece. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
