He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Silka and Sophie Silka; his sisters, Barbara Stamper and Cecilia Heyart; and his daughter Victoria Louzon (Randy).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Silka (Galeas); his sister Annette Slee; his sons, David Silka (Arlette) and Mark Silka (Karen); his grandchildren, Valerie Sink (Ken), Jennifer Daues (Mitchell), Heather Louzon, Matthew Silka, Connor Silka, Destinee Silka and Kelsey Buscemi (Giuseppe); and his great grandchildren, Addison, Vivian, Kai, Jasmine and Fabio.

Donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Council 4872.
