He was predeceased by : his parents, Curtis Whitmore and Mae Whitmore; and his son Michael Whitmore (Donna). He is survived by : his spouse Fay Whitmore; his children, Mark Whitmore (Deborah), Matthew Whitmore (Christi) and Kim Fegreus (Charlie); his brother Donald Whitmore (Ann); and his grandchildren, Lynn, Christopher, Chris, Amber, Justin, Cameron, Tyler and Rhys.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor Chapel of Voran Funeral Home (23750 Goddard Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Constance Catholic Church (21555 Kinyon St, Taylor, MI 48180). A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (32163 Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
