He is survived by: his wife Joy (Joy); his children, Wendy Beardsley (Bill) of Saline, Julie Wright (Tom) and Brandon Schmidt (Amanda) of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Rachel Beardsley Lafler (Zach), Sarah Beardsley Taylor (Alex), Evan Beardsley, Emma Beardsley, Jacob Wright (Holly), Karlie Wright Baird (Jon), Zeke and Hank Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Kally Baird, Elijah, Hunter, Evelyn Lafler, Olivia and Sophia Wright; his siblings, Bruce Schmidt (Dee), Raymond Schmidt (Linda), Keith Schmidt (Kathy), Harvey Schmidt (Pat), Mary Schmidt Dunham of Tecumseh and Glenn Schmidt (Jackie) of Adrian; and his half-sister Suzanne Francoeur of Sand Creek, MI..
