With solemn reverence, we commemorate May Octavia Butler (Tecumseh, Michigan), whose life came to an end on January 8, 2026 at the age of 100, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though May may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those May touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward (Robert). She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia I. Mitchell and Kathleen L. Wood; and her grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Melissa Ackermann and Elliot Wood. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gloria Dei Church or Tecumseh Senior Center.
