We announce the death of Franklin Klingaman of Tekonsha, Michigan, who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Franklin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Klingaman and Bernice Klingaman (Castater); his son Larry James Klingaman; his siblings, Darl (Rolene), Maude, Faith, LaVon (Bonnie) and Phil (Sheryl); and his brother-in-law Phil.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his daughters, Diana Vanderweg and Dawn Etchey (Doug); his grandchildren, Wesley, Alyssa, Natalie (Caden) and DeVanie (Cody); and his sisters, Edie and Melba. He is also survived by many extended family members and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kempf Family Funeral Home (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
