He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Shumway and Ula Shumway (Klingaman); his wife Gladys Maybourne; and his sister Phyllis. He is survived by: his children, Ed Shumway (Penny) of Tekonsha and Sally Shumway (Douglas Grossa) of New Port Richey, FL; his grandchildren, Laurie Blue (Eric) of Tekonsha, Lisa Casarez (Jeff) of Tekonsha, Lynette Coppernoll (Dave) of Albion and Libby Shumway (Tylor Mack) of Tekonsha; his great grandchildren, Calvin, Ethan, Nathan, Lane, Draper, Noah and Gabby; and his caregivers, Tammy Wichowski, Cathy Ogden, Tia Michielsen, Brooks Litman and Ema Ortiz.
