He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Abel and Irene Abel (Spencer); his wife Carolyn Abel; his children, Jeffrey Abel and Jennifer Grady; his siblings, Karl Abel, Ralph Abel and Mary Lemley; and his brother-in-law Macklin Brown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Whiteford Wesleyan Church.
