She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Herzig and Isabel Theresa "Eleanor" Herzig (Allen); her husband Paul Appling; her siblings, Jim Herzig, Linda Jambor and Sharon Herzig-Vogt; and her nephews, Michael Herzig and Jason Jambor.
She is survived by: her daughter Darlynn Nix (Douglas); her brother Otto Herzig (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Stacie Michalski (Devon), Christopher Nix (Arianna) and Cassandra Nix (Griffin); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Wyatt and Averi Farthing. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
