We announce the death of Joyce Barger of Temperance, Michigan, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 95. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence John Meinen and Otha Marie Young-Meinen. She is survived by: her sister Carol Poppe; her sons, John Edwin (Debbie), Brian Philip (Kristy), David Clarence (Kim) and Philip Bruce, Jr. (Mary); her grandchildren, Bradford, Steven, Emily (Pat), Gregory, Andrew (Taylor), Abby (Daniel), Matt (Cyanne), Alaena, Samuel (Josie) and Jack; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Charlotte, Jensen, Aiden, Henry, Kaitlyn, Owen, Thomas, Calin, Sebastian, Regan and Gwendolyn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olivet Lutheran Church (5840 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH 43560). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
