Miriam T. Sherman Obituary
We bid farewell to Miriam T. Sherman of Temperance, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 9, 2025 at the age of 94. Miriam touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilkinson and Stella Wilkinson (Iott); her husband Leonard Sherman; her children, Collette Sherman, Benjamin and David Sherman; her grandson Christopher Jay Sherman; and her brothers, John, James, Joseph and Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Emma Pogarch (Dennis), Andrew Sherman, Gerard Sherman, Ann Ansel and John Sherman; and her siblings, William Wilkinson, Donna Knaggs and Yvonne Estrella. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In her community, she also volunteered at the RSVP, Meals-on-Wheels, the Cancer Connection, The Red Cross, Hospice, Lion's Den, Friends of the Bedford Library, Bedford Senior Center, Henry Ford Theater, Historical Society of Monroe County, Banner Oak School and for many years was a Master Gardener at the Toledo Botanical Garden.
