He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Carey and Pat Carey; and his brother Pete Carey. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughter Michelle O'Brien (Eric); his grandchildren, Neil and Jude O'Brien; and his siblings, Dan Carey, Jean Austin (Carey), John Carey (Linda), Megan Carey (Barb Cappel), Jenny Suszka, Cathy (Bill) and Henry (Carey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home (1640 Smith Rd, Temperance, MI 48182). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (2240 Castlewood Dr, Toledo, OH 43613).
