He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bender and Faith Bender; his wife Diane Krone; and his daughters, Rebecah Bender (Moyer) and Shannon Bender (Milliken).
He is survived by: his children, Renda DeMorrow (Joseph) of Hernando, Cindy Bender (Jack Forker, Jr.) of Three Oaks and Richard Bender II (Sherrie) of Sawyer; his grandchildren, Dylan, Aaron, Richard III, Sophia and David; and his sister Donna Thomason (Gene) of Sanford, Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
