He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fatter and Dixie Fatter; and his wife Rebecca Carver. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Spriggs (Eric) of New Buffalo, Darrin Fatter of Dewitt and James Grosse (Alison) of Zeeland; his grandchildren, Spencer, Evan, Mila, Maddon, Ava, Kellen and Ella; and his siblings, Diane Yettaw of Michigan City and William Fatter (Robin) of LaPorte. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Three Oaks American Legion (204 W Linden St, Three Oaks, MI 49128).
