He was predeceased by: his father Charles Taylor; his siblings, Edna Jackson and Charles Taylor Jr. Remaining; his wife Xuangiang Taylor; his children, Bronson Taylor, Weston Taylor (Shirley) and Whitney Taylor; his granddaughters, Raelyn T. Hal and Skylar Taylor; his mother Agnes Taylor; and his siblings, Nathan Brooks, Donald, Eric, Theodore (Michael Taylor), Kathy Taylor, Viola Johnson and Dorcus Williams.

Donations in Ervan's name may be directed to his family in care of Xuangiang Taylor.
