He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Shutes, and Frances Shutes, Sr. (Butler); his daughter Jeni Shutes; his grandson Kody Shutes; his sister Sharon Seals; and his former wife Coreen Smith.
He is survived by: his son Jason Shutes of Three Rivers; his grandson Colton Shutes of Three Rivers; and his siblings, Margaret O'Connell (Tim) of Portage, Michigan and Bernard "Skip" Shutes, Jr. (Kathy) of Three Rivers, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
