She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Hawkins and Marjorie Hawkins (Westphal); her stepson Michael Hayes; and her brothers, Ronnie Hawkins Sr. and Robert Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Hayes Sr., Constantine, Charles Hayes and Veronica Edwards of Portland, OR. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
