He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Schlimgen and Grace N. Schlimgen (Price); his wife Marilyn Schlimgen (Goode); and his siblings-in-law, Sumer Bileydi, Jean and Charles Freimund.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Bradley Mercer and Anthony "Tony" Mercer (Michielle Sweet); his adoptive daughter Sabra; his grandchildren, Tony Mercer, Madeline Gilbert (Jeff) and Paige Sweet (Cody Martin); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Goode (Peggy), Lois Bileydi and Virginia Sharp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
