He is survived by: his wife Laurie Lee Rudd; his children, Heidi Gillespie (Darin) of Howell, MI, Edward Steele IV (Megan) of Howell, MI, Thomas Steele (Suzy) of Tipton, MI, Adam Steele (Sydney) of Tecumseh, MI and James Steele (Chelsea Mohr) of Tecumseh, MI; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Ashlee, Zoe, Edward V, Jacob, Savannah, Oakley, Bentley, Axton and Harper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and Hospice of Lenawee.
