As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Tafelsky and Gloria Tafelsky (Shumsky); his children, Sierra (Ryan) and Tyler (Elizabeth); and his siblings, Timothy (Luan), Mark (Mary), Jeanne (Curtis), Robert (Mary Jo) and Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home (305 Sixth St, Traverse City, MI 49684). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be directed to the family via Tyler Tafelsky, with proceeds going to the Chordoma Foundation.
