With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Debra June Hobbs of Traverse City, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Debra left this world on July 19, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Matheny and Lucille Matheny; and her siblings, Joyce and Raymond. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Angela Blair (Luke) of Traverse City, Ryan (Sofia) of Ann Arbor and Trevor (Katy) of Brethren; her grandchildren, Sylvia, Lucy, Mary, Cameron, Oliver and Luca; and her siblings, Bill Matheny (Bette) of Bend, Judith Miller of McMinnville and Pamela Giffin (Vince) of Wooster, Ohio. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Kirkbride Hall (700 Cottageview Dr Suite 200, Traverse City, MI 49684).
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may honor Debra with a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
