He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hackbarth and Elinor Hackbarth (Adam); his sister Janice; his wife Sandy; and his great grandchild Aivor.
He is survived by: his children, John Hackbarth (Jody) of Kingsley, Matthew Hackbarth (Jeanie) of Kingsley and Andrea Strong (Philip) of Riverton, WY; and his sister Linda Hackbarth. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
