He was predeceased by: his parents, George Deering and Margaret Deering (McGarry); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Deering, Patrick Deering, Ruth Dent and Peggy Hemming.
He is survived by: his children, James Deering (Aileen) and Linda Enger (Deering). He is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
