He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Perry Jones Jr. and Betty Jeanne Jones (Stewart); and his former wife Sandra. He is survived by: his wife Marda Higdon of Summit; his children, Lisa (Mark Franklin) and Scott; his brother Perry (Harriet Jones); his granddaughter Emily; his cousin James Lanham; his mother-in-law June Higdon; and his sister-in-law Donna (Mike Dodson). He is also survived by nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In life and after passing Dan supported Alzheimer's research, including participating in several studies. In lieu of flowers, his family requests a donation to the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (https://medresearch.umich.edu.) in Dan's name to allow his commitment and impact to continue, or a donation to Hospice of Michigan (https://www.hom.org) to further their service to those in need.
