He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reid and Mae Reid (Whitney). He is survived by: his wife Alma B. Throop; his daughters, Jerilyn Braun (Denny) and Lori Kirkey (Patrick); his son-in-law Robert Sivek; his grandchildren, Gina Lake, Devon Braun, Genell Sivek, Bethany Muha, Tyler Sivek, Allen Sivek, Katelynn Yonkers and Matthew Kirkey; his daughter Kathy Sivek; and his siblings, Nola Steinbery, Jay Reid, Faye Crocker and Joyce Gardy. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on June 5th at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home where donations may be directed to the Lake Leelanau Lake Association and the Creekside Community Church.
