He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: John and Helen Wertman; wives: Lynn and Kay; brother: John; significant other: Kathleen Muench; children: Kelly (Sean) Connery, Matthew (Lauren) Wertman and Mark (Beth) Wertman; stepson: Kent (Rebecca) Tillett; grandchildren: Graham, Cora, Meredith, Olivia, Andrew Wertman, Alexandra and EJ Tillitt; other: Kelly Plucinski and neighbors considered family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City (701 Westminster Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City, the Cherryland Humane Society or to a charity of your choice.
